Google pushing programming cell phones in courses

An announcement from Hal Abelson (MIT Professor, co-author of Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs — my vote for best CS textbook ever) who is currently visiting Google describes their new effort to support programming Android cell phones for computing education.  The new App Inventor for Android allows for Alice/Scratch/eToy-style drag-and-drop programming to make for a low-frustration entry into cell phone programming.
