BPC-A PI Meeting, then Virginia Tech

I’m in Arlington, Virginia, for a meeting of the NSF Broadening Participation in Computing Alliances.  There is a program within NSF for the Alliances (BPC-A), which was really surprising since BPC and CPATH were folded into the new CE21 program.  But if you look at the BPC-A program description, you’ll see no solicitation, no due dates for proposals.  That’s what we’re learning about this week.  The AccessComputing Alliance was just renewed for another five years, but the rest of us (including “Georgia Computes!“) that are almost up with our five years don’t know what our process will be, if there’s any chance at all.

On Thursday, I’m heading to Blacksburg, Virginia to visit Virginia Tech and give a talk on Friday.
